  ABOUT ACTION FLOOR SYSTEMS

Serving the global marketplace.

From our Mercer, Wisconsin headquarters, Action serves a far-reaching customer base — on every continent except Antarctica! — providing sports floor options for college & universities, K-12 gyms, field houses, professional arenas, multipurpose community centers, squash and racquetball courts, aerobic and dance rooms, and more.

Worldwide, our premium, solid maple permanent and portable floor systems are preferred for uniform playability, resiliency and shock absorption for athletes' safety, and their impressive durability. The quality and performance of our floor system is confirmed by independent laboratory tests in accordance with EN 14904, DIN 18032 Part-2, and FIBA criteria.

We are the exclusive North American supplier of the finest synthetic polyurethane seamless athletic surface — Action Herculan®. Solvent-free and featuring the industry’s first water-based top coat, Action Herculan can contribute to facility LEED points and is a durable, cost-effective and eco-friendly solution for many applications, including basketball, track, tennis (indoor and outdoor), and roller hockey. Action Herculan IG systems are a perfect solution for new construction and renovation projects for commercial, institutional and industrial applications.

Rounding out our product offering, are Action RexCourt® vinyl athletic sheet flooring, Action ReFlex® recycled rubber multi-use flooring and Action AirRide® protective floor cover systems.

Action has a long-standing commitment to being a sustainability leader in our industry — preserving source woodlands; offering environmentally friendly products; conserving energy and maximizing resource yield with full utilization of all raw materials; joining global and environmental initiatives; and verified adherence to ISO 14000 (2006) standards; and ensuring the wellbeing and fair treatment of our workers. Our efforts to ensure clean, sustainable manufacturing; assess environmental impacts and establish groundbreaking best practices, have earned the industry’s first — and only — Carbon Negative certification, based on a Life Cycle Assessment conducted by the University of Wisconsin and Carbon Clear, an international independent auditor of manufacturing carbon profiles.

Our focus on innovation, product quality, responsible manufacturing practices and sustainability is further reflected in Action’s own exclusive certification criteria: “SCORES” — Sustainable Construction Of Renewable Engineered Surfaces. SCORES is a set of criteria that evaluate our products, processes and customer use, to ultimately match the lifecycle of your new Action Floor to the life span of your building.

Action Floor Systems is the only MFMA accredited mill that meets all of the Carbon Negative certification’s vital environmental and performance measures. Our efforts are substantiated and credible as verified by third-party International Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standards, regional certifications and the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change protocols.
